Why the black sheep?
The metaphor of the black sheep is to deviate. Some might say the black sheep brings shame or lacks respect. Others measure a black sheep by material successes and some use it as they would a tar brush, to mark anyone who differs from their idealisation.
I wanted to name my blog “Congrats, It’s a black sheep” not because this is an identity I have chosen for myself, but because each and every person I have met in life is a black sheep to somebody else. We are human, and humans need context. It is impossible to exist within a box that others have built for us, so this blog goes beyond celebrating my differences and lays them out bare so that people can see that they’re not that different after all.
